WHAT is the NYSWC annual summit?

The annual NYSWC summit is an opportunity for youth spoken word organizations from throughout the country to come together to share strategies, organize resources and mobilize the youth spoken word movement on a national scale. The summit takes place immediately after the annual Brave New Voices Teen Poetry Slam Festival. The summit seeks to build the knowledge and collective action of the myriad organizations using spoken word to engage teens in arts, literacy and social justice. Read more about on-going work of the National Youth Spoken Word Coalition by visiting us at www.nyswc.net.
